如果喜欢爵士乐的你，觉得Amy Winehouse的唱法口味太重，那你一定会爱上Adele。这位英国女生今年只有20岁，可以说是西洋版的Joanna。
这是Adele的首张专辑，也是一张全创作专辑。声音好不在话下。创作功力更是不可忽视。“Best for Last”的音乐结构就足以证明她的音乐相当纯熟，一点都不像是20岁的人会写出来的歌。节奏与情绪的转变都拿捏得恰到好处。很喜欢歌曲从主歌转到副歌的部分，完全不在预料之内，听起来却一点都不别扭。
专辑里好几首歌的编曲都只用一种乐器，可是听起来一点都不单调。重点就在她那把富有灵魂的声音。所以，能唱歌的人，是不需要用华丽的编曲包装自己的音乐的。
我只能说，她不论快歌慢歌都驾驭得很好，绝对是天生的歌手。
专辑12首歌的排法也别有用心。正当你以为你快被抒情歌催眠到睡著时，中版节奏的歌曲又会把你丢入另一个世界。这样来回交替，不知不觉已经重听正张专辑好几遍了。
专辑的封面也很有质感。不听，买来摆也会觉得很过瘾。

Adele do sounds like an Amy Winehouse wanabe on first
listen, but it doesnt take much to realise they're
totally different.
despite the big voice of a talent that she has, i
believe the album sags in the second half due to the
less-than-impressive material.
production wise, i'm not sure if it's just me, but
the recording sounds uneven. Chasing Pavements sounds
very piercing and unevenly loud at points on my
discman.
however, Adele will be one of the newcomers to watch
in 2009, more so after her recent grammy noms. do
youtube her live vids to be impressed, esp the recent
unplugged ones.
